Zombie Lake (1981)

This movie should be watched with extreme caution. I ONLY recommend it to the most die-hard of zombie fans, and fans of Jess Franco.

Nazi-zombies, terribleness, horrible makeup, terrible dialogue, soooo bad.

Looks like Franco really needed a check!

Love Me Deadly (1973)

Love me Deadly....wonderfully sleazy.

After her father dies, a woman becomes obsessed with attending strangers funerals. After which she begins making out with corpses and then is introduced to a bizarre cult of necrophiliacs.

Trailer (embedding disabled) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9y3qD1wXB0M

Wet Wilderness (1975)

Absolute filth and terribleness to the extreme. Starting with the opening sequence that blatantly rips off Bernard Hermann's score from "Taxi Driver," not much else follows.

Basically a group of people are in the woods, and ALAS! a masked sex fiend/murderer is lurking also. All mayhem follows. Full of hardcore, racism, sexism, very-very politically incorrect film....but what the hell did you expect?

No trailer found for this one.

Last House on Dead End Street (1977)

So from the poster you are going to see a "Last house on the left" ripoff. But this is an AMAZING film!!

Roger Watkins made this film on 16mm with $2,000. $1,200 went to buy him amphetamines and $800 to the actual film production.

It is about a man who gets out of prison and wants to get back at society and starts making snuff films.

This is, in my humble opinion, the epitome of exploitation cinema. From the advertising, subject content, back story, etc.

When discussing this with a friend we can concluded that this is truely one of the most evil and psychedelic films ever made. You can tell Watkins was really pissed at the world when he made this film and really wanted to do something awful and so he made this film.

This is the top recommended film on this blog. It will be hard to locate (not via download) but it is out of print, but i cannot suggest enough that you watch it!!

By the way- The A/V sync is off on this film and just adds to the wierdness as it is not a foreign dubbed film or what have you.

Forced Entry XXX (1974)

This IS the XXX roughie. Staring a Harry Reems sans the mustache, this baby is unnerving. Just when you think you have been desensitized, put this one on and see what happens. The most rough film I have ever witnessed.

Wham Bam Thank You Spaceman (1975)

Were looking at a film about as terrible as this review will be. There are both soft and hardcore version available, so pick your choice!

Spacemen, aliens, sex, Dyanne Thorne....need I say more?

Forced Entry (1975)

This is the grimy film by Jim Sotos made in 1975, not the XXX roughie made a year prior.

Either way, you are getting some of the most exploitative sleaze with this film. Garage worker by day, serial rapist/killer at night this film follows the deranged life of this twisted murderer!

Some great and uncomfortable scenes! Sure to please!

No luck with a trailer for this one

Recommendations: Forced Entry (1973), Maniac, New York Ripper

Don't Answer The Phone (1980)

This exploitative number is one of my favorite exploitation films. You have to love the disturbed Vietnam Vet that goes around killing beautiful women due to his sexual inadequacies and perversions!

Sure to please the horror and sleaaze fan!

Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers (1988)

Great Fred Olen Ray flick. If the title doesn't draw you in, I do not know what will. This film is filled with gratuitous nudity & violence with an overall campy theme!

Sure to please sleaze cinema fanatics and trash cinema fanatics alike!

Brute Corps (1972)

Classic American trash cinema. Filled with classic one liners, violence (sexual and physical), over the top acting, and terrible storyline.

The first 2 minutes of this trailer are pure epicness. If you don't ge4t excited by seeing that, then something is terribly wrong!

Space Thing (1968)

Lookin' for a bit of cheesy exploitation? Maybe a nudie cutie sci-fi spoof? Well you have come to the perfect place. Strap on your seat belts tight and get ready for..."SPACE THING."

What this movie lacks in story, acting, plot, any means of comprehension....it sure makes up for in bizarreness and nudity!

Recommendations- Nude on The Moon, House on Bare Mountain, Spaced Out

Demoni 2 (1986)

So are you up for an EPIC Italian cheesefest? Well you've hit the nail on the head with this film.

Directed by Lamberto Bava, son of Mario Bava, this second installment of the "Demons" films is as cheesy as ever.

Starring the classic goober Bobby Rhodes, we are presented with some of the most epic quotes one could ask for in a movie. When we saw Rhodes in "Demons 1" we were blown away by his jive thespian attitude...a 10/10 performance...what more could one ask for, nothing. But thats not what we got in "Demons 2." We actually got a more epic Rhodes. More classic quotes, greasier body, more rage, everything to the extreme!

ENJOY!

Giallo a Venezia (1979)

This uber rare giallo, directed by Mario Landi (director of the classic "Patrick Still Lives") is about as sleazy as you can get. It is considered one of the top three sleaziest giallos (along with "The New York Ripper" and "The Killer is Still Among Us").

This sleazefest incorporates an array of taboo subjects, from drugs, bizarre sexual practices, and death by vaginal mutilation!

Starring the beautiful Mariangela Giordano, who you might have seen in "Patrick Still Lives" and "Burial Grounds: Nights of Terror," this film is sure the please the most jaded of sleaze film vets!

Considering how hard this film is to find itself, it does not surprise me that I was unable to locate a trailer!

Recommendations: Torso, The Killer is Still Among Us, The New York Ripper

Hot Summer in The City (1976)

XXX roughie here that defines exploitation. The great thing about this roughie is that it also incorporates aspects of blaxploitation. So not only do we have ourselves a classic roughie, but we also get some jive talking, grade A blax taboot!

Unlike most rougies, the women in this film actually look like human beings. They are not bruised and beaten...a rarity among these films. Sickening and depraved, but a great film for you sleazebags!

The great thing about this film is that throughout it we hear songs by Robert Knight, The Beach Boys, The Supremes, The Four Tops, The Doors, and The Shangri-Las, while Summer in the City is used as the theme song.

I could not find a trailer for this film.

Ginger (1971)

GREAT exploitation in the "Ginger Trilogy." The first volume in the trilogy, simply entitled "Ginger" is a wonderful introduction to these sleaze and sex filled detective films!

Ginger is recruited by a detective agency to help stop a ring of scumbags who whore out women to wealthy suburbanites for blackmail purposes. They run drugs on the side, taking advantage of the giant tourist population that flocks to the golden shores of coastal New Jersey. DO NOT be fooled. Ginger might be a detective looking to stop the evils of crime and drugs, but she ALWAYS has time for some sex!

Starring the sexy Cheri Caffaro. Every man wanted her; nobody could tame her! The original sexy sleuth, Cheri Caffaro, fights against drugs and prostitution.

Hell of The Living Dead (1981)

AKA- Virus, Zombie Creeping Flesh, Zombie Inferno, Night of the Zombies, and many more.

Just as Bruno Mattei has many pseudonyms, so does this film...but all will lead you to the 1981 cheese fest that is guaranteed to please Italian zombie fans!

After a chemical leak at the Hope Centre in Papua New Guinea turns its staff into flesh-eating zombies, a four-man commando squad are sent to find out the details. Filled with terrific zombie gore, nudity, and hilarious one liners this is a MUST SEE!!!

Recommendations- Zombi 2, Zombie 3, Rats: Nights of Terror

I Drink Your Blood (1970)

This is without a doubt one of my all time favorite grinders. It is textbook cheesiness and has the most amazing/hilarious premise ever!

A band of satanist hippies roll into a town and begin terrorizing the local folk. They rape a local girl and her grandpa goes after them. He fails and is given LSD. This bothers his grandson and he gets back at the hippies by feeding them meat pies infected with blood from a rabid dog. They turn into crazed lunatics and begin killing and/or infecting everything in their path.

Fight For Your Life (1977)

Epic exploitation here. Filled with racism and depravity on all kinds of levels.

After three convicts escape from jail they decide to hole up in a black minister's house and then the trash begins to flow.

Getting Into Heaven (1970)

1970's sex goddess Uschi Digard stars in this softcore classic.

Hollywood hopeful, "Heaven: wishes to get into films, but she must succumb to a whole bunch of sex with producers in order to get what she wants.

Welcome To Arrow Beach (1974)

Classic drive-in flick here. Great concept and filled with terrible acting and situations. Not as much blood as I expected or hoped for, but a great film nonetheless.

A hippie girl gets picked up by a strange man who invites her to stay at his house, but she begins to get the feeling that there are strange things going on. And she doesnt even know about the incestuous undertones...

Pieces aka Mil gritos tiene la noche (1982)

Directed by Juan Simon we are also graced with Joe D'Amato's writing for this uber classic chunk of sleaze.

As young college students are being viciously cut up on there campus people begin o wonder who the murderer is and how he or she can be stopped.

What do you get when you add classic death scenes, mental deterioration from a demanding mother, sleaze, sex, nudity, cheese, and a most bizarre ending? Easily one of the best slasher films EVER made!!

Pieces Trailer

Double Agent 73 (1974)

Set as the second installment of Doris Wishman's "Chesty Morgan" films, Chesty is back and better than ever. With more of a budget (for better or worse) this film is just as great as the first and this time Chesty has a government planted camera in her breasts in order to take down the low grade heroin that has been flooding her city.

A MUST SEE for any Doris Wishman, Chesty Morgan, or sleaze fan!!!

Deadly Weapons (1974)

In this classic film, directed by Doris Wishman, we are presented with the voluptuous "Chesty Morgan" and her "deadly weapons" as she defends herself in retaliation against the mob. Acting is terrible, plot is hilarious, and sleaze and cheese are aplenty in this more than classic exploitation film!

Humanoids From The Deep (1980)

Also know as "Monster" this is a prime b film from the main man himself, Roger Corman.

I was first introduced to this film when I saw the preview on an old tape of "Piranha." I quickly became obsessed with trying to acquire this film, but found it harder to come by than I expected. When I finally got a hold of a copy it was everything I wanted and more! Filled with cheesy acting, generic plot, nudity, gore, and predictability this is a prime example of exploitation. It is also based in a small fishing harbor town, which is a personal favorite setting of mine!

Please do yourself a favor and get this film. It is currently out of print and hard to find (and expensive if you do find it) but it is worth every penny! PS- make sure it is the original 1980 Roger Corman film, not the remake!

Zombi Holocaust aka Dr. Butcher M.D. (1980)

Seeing is believing and this movie reaffirms that statement completely. Filled with sleaze, gore, and absurdity I cannot possibly see how this film could disappoint anyone! Mad scientists and zombie armies are sure to please. And keep an eye out for the motor boat propeller...ahahahaha!!!

Dead Alive (1992)

So we all know Peter Jackson did a wonder cinematic recreation of the Lord of The Rings Trilogy, but did you know that two of his first few movies are considered some of the most ridiculous and gory films ever? Also know as "Brain Dead," Dead Alive is all out gore and laughs aplenty!

The story revolves around a man whose mother gets bitten by a "Sumatran rat monkey." She gets terribly sick, dies, and then comes back to torment the neighborhood.

Filled with disgusting images, a demonic baby, and TOOOONS of blood, this film with most definitely please gore hounds and trash cinema fans alike!

Poor White Trash 2 AKA Scum of The Earth (1974)

This has got to be one of my favorite exploitation films. I am not sure what exactly draws to to it, but every time I see it I lvoe it more and more. Maybe its the great hicksploitation feeling you get, or the sleaze overload, either way, this is a GREAT exploitation flick.

Newlyweds Helen and Paul decide to rough it for there honeymoon in a backwoods cabin. But when Paul doesn't return from the car, after getting a pack of cigarettes, Helen becomes worried, only to find him with an axe in his chest. Panicking Helen runs away only to find the "Pickett" family. Will they be her saviors or a bunch of sleazy inbreeds?

My Friends Need Killing (1976)

After contemplating on the atrocities he and his buddies committed during Vietnam, a war veteran decides to pay them all a visit and repay them for the crimes they committed!

When watching exploitation and B films one will begin to see many of the same plots and patterns in films; however, this is quite a unique one. It will be very hard to find as you will notice that I could not find a trailer or even a semi decent picture, but when and if you do find it, you will be oh so pleased!

Recommendation- Combat Shock, Thou Shall Not Kill...Except, The Mad Bomber

Cannibal Ferox

Cannibal Ferox aka Make Them Die Slowly ranks in there with the top of the cannibal flicks...not quite as epic as "Cannibal Holocaust" but will surely please any cannibal and/ or gore junkie.

Directed by the great Umberto Lenzi, this film is based around three friends who go to the Amazon jungle to disprove the "legend" of cannibalism. BUT, much to there surprise they have a not so friendly run in with what they had considered a "legend" all along.

Filled with real animal killings and the eating of human genitals, this one is sure to please the most twisted of fans!

Recommendations: Cannibal Holocaust, Mountain of the Cannibal God, Primitives

Nail Gun Massacre (1985)

After a girl is gang raped by a bunch of construction workers a masked vigilante begins to take out the rapists one by one...with, you guessed it, a nail gun.

What this film lacks in sleaze it surely makes up for in cheese. Between terrible dialogue, cheesy one-liners, and cheesy deaths this is a MUST SEE for exploitation and b cinema fans.

Motel Hell (1980)

What "Motel Hell" lacks in sleaze it surely makes up for in cheesiness and gore.
I have to add this film, because this is where it all begins. I can vividly remember my best friend and I, being only in 4th grade, having has dad bring us up to Movie Warehouse and renting "Motel Hell" on the weekends. When we decided to rent another film, we would pray that Joe Bob Briggs would be showing this film on Monstervision late that night. Ahhhh, the memories.

"Motel Hell" is without a doubt one of my all time favorite films. Based around brother and sister farmers, Vincent & Ida, whose idea of fun is to trap people by their farm, bring their bodies to their garden, slit their throats and fatten them up until they are chosen to be ground up for their famous beef jerky.

Burial Ground AKA Nights of Terror (1981)

Director Andrea Bianchi truly delivers in this film. The plot? Who cares. All you need to know is that we have zombies, a deranged child who is in love with his mothers naked body, the same child biting off his mothers breast, and oh so much more! A true classic for fans of zombie films, trash, and Italian horror!!

Oh, Peter Bark, you little Italian Thespian....how we love you

TRAILER

GREAT PETER BARK CLIPS

The Sinful Dwarf (1973)

An all time favorite of mine and most fans of Euro-Trash cinema.

This film has one of the greatest, yet most ridiculous plots at the same time.

Based in a small Danish city, Olaf (the dwarf) lives with his alcoholic and demanding mother. He lures young girls into their house with toys, quickly gets them addicted to heroin, and whores them out to local scumbags.

"The Sinful Dwarf" was recently released by smut video distributer "Severin Films.' While they have yet to release the uncut XXX version, this one surely holds us fans over.

Extreme depravity- CHECK
Forced intravenous heroin use- CHECK
Rape- CHECK
Incestuous undertones- CHECK
A dwarf that looks frighteningly like Jack Black- CHECK

*And additional note- Torben, who plays the sinful dwarf, was known for hosting his own children's television show prior to the film...which makes it all the more disturbing...

I Spit on Your Grave (1978)

The for birth of the "Sleaze Cinema" we will review one of the sleaziest, most classic exploitation flick to ever exist.

To argue that "I Spit on Your Grave" has any redeeming value one would have to be out of their mind. Director Meir Zarchi would tell you that this is a story that reflects and is inspired by a real life incident he witnessed; however, most viewers and fans of this film would agree that it is nothing more than sleazy fun.

Also known as "The Day of The Woman" this film is based in the summertime when writer Jennifer Hills goes to the country to find peace and solitude in writing her new novel. What she encounters is the EXACT opposite. After being stalked and harassed by a group of locals, she is raped and driven to a nasty revenge.

9/10
